Clare comes from a family of performers and professional musicians, her Great Grandfather performed with composers such as Elgar and List. Keen amateur dramatists, her parents encouraged her performing enthusiasm and her acting experience dates back to the tender age of 3 when she first appeared on stage in her family's infamous basement theatre that sat an audience of only 20!
Clare qualified as a secondary school teacher before embarking on a life's ambition of becoming a professional actress. After gaining a scholarship she trained at The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama.
Since graduating she has worked extensively on Welsh TV and her credits include various roles in TV drama series, film and theatre work. As well as acting she has presented several children's programmes for the BBC and S4C.
Clare's quirkiness and diversity has led to her to many genres of acting including the lead characters in numerous cartoon series, she also has a vast amount of voice over experience, a sample of which can be heard in the voice reel.
Her love of jazz and swing has propelled Clare into the world of music as a professional singer with the acclaimed Graham Watkins Jazz Quartet who have featured on the same bill as the likes of Dame Cleo Laine, the late Johnny Dankworth and performed at the St Donat's Arts Centre for A Night of Music from the Hollywood Movies. She is also lead vocalist with the The Dave Barry Big Band.
In her spare time Clare can be found pounding the streets in her trainers! She's a very keen runner and took part in the 2010 London Marathon, finishing in just under four and a half hours.
